Biography

Dorothy Christian is a writer, a video artist, and a producer/director of documentaries. She is of the Okanagan-Secwepemc Nations of the interior of BC, and has written over 75 mini-documentaries for Vision TV. Her most recent work, an experimental film called "a spiritual land claim", has been screened at many festivals. Dorothy is currently completing a Masters in the School of Communications at Simon Fraser University where she is exploring Indigenous knowledge and how it impacts film production and aesthetics. She co-organized a public forum called "Protect Our Sacred Waters" with Denise Nadeau in 2007.
