Trudel, as one half of Ælab (Stéphane Claude and Gisèle Trudel), will bring their collaborative and interdisciplinary experience to the workshop. Their process-oriented investigations creatively engage nature, information and technology as intertwined in the development of ecological awareness. Individually, Trudel is an established media artist with a deep commitment to collaboration, creative dissemination, innovative technologies and ways of thinking that bridge the arts and the sciences. Her performative talk will strive to engage workshop participants in an exploration of various approaches to local wastewaters in Montreal, as well as those in nearby Sharon, Vermont. The diversity and depth of her practices will be an invaluable contribution to the rich interdisciplinary conversations of this workshop.

Trudel partagera l’expérience collaborative et interdisciplinaire d’Ælab (fondé par Stéphane Claude et Gisèle Trudel) avec les membres de l’atelier. Leurs investigations axées sur le processus investissent la nature, l’information et la technologie de manière créative, les percevant comme entrelacées dans le développement de la prise de conscience écologique. Individuellement, Trudel est une artiste médiatique établie qui privilégie profondément la collaboration, la dissémination créative, les technologies innovatrices ainsi que les modes de pensée qui font le pont entre les arts et les sciences. À l’aide d’une conférence performative, Trudel s’efforcera d’engager les participants de l’atelier dans une exploration des différentes approches envers les eaux usées de Montréal et de Sharon, Vermont. La diversité et la profondeur de ses pratiques apporteront une contribution précieuse aux riches conversations interdisciplinaires de cet atelier.
